NEW! SMP120 – 49 Watts – 80-160 Vin for Space
Redmond, WA. March 1, 2018 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co. (NYSE:CR), has announced today the introduction of a new space grade DC-DC converter family. According to Bob Myers (Senior Director Modular Power) “Our new SMP120 was designed specifically for customers needing radiation tolerant DC-DC converters that support 120 volt power busses.”
The SMP120 is a family of fully isolated converters with either a 5 volt 40 watt single or a 28 volt 49 watt single. The converters operate over an input voltage range of 80 to 160 volts with 180 volt transient protection. The SMP120 includes unique features such as inrush current limiting and output overvoltage protection to make system integration easier. They are screened to Class H and Class K, per MIL-PRF 38534, with radiation tolerance of L 50 krad(Si) and R 100 krad(Si). SMD numbers are coming soon.
They are highly reliable under harsh conditions, have small hermetically sealed packages and operate over the full temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The hermetically sealed cases are 3.00 × 2.55 × 0.481 inches (76.20 × 64.77 × 12.22 mm).
Crane Interpoint DC-DC converters are widely used on satellites and space systems around the world including: Mars Rovers, Cygnus, Aquarius, GLONASS, ISS, Dawn, and many more. For more information, download the datasheet at http://www.interpoint.com/smp120. Order samples now.
